ACT and Region Branch Committee

Minutes for the ACT Branch Committee are available in the Members area.  Password protected area

Branch library

ACT Region Branch has a small library of books and journals, which were bequeathed to it by a respected senior member, Robert Hyslop, on his death in mid-2007. These items are currently held for the Branch by Edyth Binkowski.Email link They are as follows:

  • Making an index. Cambridge University Press. 7pp. pamphlet.
  • Indexing legal materials, edited by Elizabeth M Moys, London, Society of Indexers,1993. (Occasional Papers on Indexing, no.2).
  • Indexing books, by Nancy C. Mulvaney, Chicago, University of Chicago Press, 1994.
  • Indexing from A to Z by Hans H. Wellisch, Bronx, N.Y., H.W. Wilson, 1991.
  • Also held are issues of the journal, The Indexer, 1959;1 (4), 1962;3(1), 1963;3(3), 1962;3(,4), 1968;6(1)–1974;9(1), 1980;12(1)–1987:15(4), 1990;17(1), 1990;17(2), 1991;17(4), 1992;18(1)–1996;20(2), 1997;20(4)–2006;25(1).
    These include issues donated by the Society of Indexers some years ago. There are some duplicates.
  • Edyth also has the archives of the ACT Region Branch, back to its beginning in 1993, as well as the AusSI/ANZSI Newsletter from 1993 to the present.

These items are available for loan or for consultation on the spot by arrangement with Edyth Binkowski.Email link  Unfortunately there are no photocopying facilities.
