Indexing quilts
For something completely different learn how to index quilts in two different ways. Perhaps you have a quilt you could bring and share its history.

Nikki Davis - Quilts as social documents: The quilt indexes and registers of Australia, the US and the UK.
Increasingly, quilts are being recognised as records of our social history, which in turn has seen the development of a number of national quilt indexes and registers. They are important in documenting the people and stories associated with quilts, and are also an important record of the history of textile design and manufacture.

Mary Russell - How do you group quilt patterns?
Identifying the underlying basic block is one way to group quilt patterns. The same approach could be applied to any repeated patterns, such as in mosaics, tiling, carpets or stained glass.
