Intermediate/Practical indexing course
ANZSI NSW will be holding an Intermediate/Practical indexing course.
General details are given below, and course information is attached

The course will involve the indexing of a short book over about a month.
During this time you will have access to a mailing list at which you can discuss any questions you have about indexing the book. We will then finish with a 3-hour face-to-face session followed by lunch at a local pub or restaurant for more informal, ongoing discussions(details attached ). [PDF 105KB]
The face-to-face session will be held at Thomson Reuters, 100 Harris St, Pyrmont, on 8 May 2010 from 10am to 1pm, and the book will be provided at least a month earlier. Free parking is available on the Thomson Reuters site if you contact Lorraine Doyle 
in advance and provide your car registration number. Lunch and morning tea are included in the cost, as is an electronic copy of the book to be indexed. Software is NOT provided (details attached ). [PDF 105KB]
It is also possible to participate in the initial portion of the Intermediate course only.
The cost will be $200 for members and $235 for non-members. This will include an electronic copy of the book, and one months' access to comments on the YahooGroup, but will not include the final summing up face-to-face event nor the lunch.

Payment
Payment in advance is required. Cost is $295 for ANZSI members, $330 for non-members (no GST involved). There is a 40% discount for long-distance travellers (travel requiring an overnight stay). Half year ANZSI membership is available for $35 - you will have to pay the membership fee separately to the ANZSI Treasurer (details at http://www.aussi.org/membership/index.html).

Payment can be made by cheque to ANZSI NSW or by direct deposit to account no. 2640 1017 0440 at the Commonwealth Bank Blaxland Branch - BSB 062-640. (Some banks prefer the shorter numbers 1017 0440 or 01017 0440.) Applicants should ask for their name and 'ANZSI COURSE' to be included in the reference field. Please also send an email toSue Flaxman to let her know the payment has been made so she can reserve your place. Cheques should be posted to Sue Flaxman at 4 Loris St, East Bowral NSW 2576.
Refund Policy. The NSW Branch has determined the following refund policy for branch events.
Cancellation prior to one week before an event with refund in full less a
$25 administration fee; Cancellation less than 7 days before an event with 50% refund.
