The Australian and New Zealand Society of Indexers is offering a half-day course on annual report indexing.
Venue
The course will be held at Corporate Suites (Building 8), Holmesglen TAFE, Batesford Road, Chadstone.
Time
1.30pm-5.00pm, 12 March 2009.
This half-day course is an extension of the book indexing courses wich looks at the special requirements for indexing annual reports produced by predominantly federal or state government departments and agencies. Practical exercises are supplied.
Particular areas covered include:
- Compliance and subject indexes
- Financial statements
- Structuring the index
- Selection of terms
Who should attend
Anyone who wishes to extend their basic indexing training skills so they can move on to real world indexing. Note, no special subject knowledge is required, but an understanding of basic indexing principles (equivalent to that presented in Book Indexing part I) is assumed.

Course Fees
Fees (including GST) are $150 per participant ($125 for ANZSI, Society of Editors, and Australian Society of Technical Communicators members), and will include all instruction, course notes, morning or afternoon tea.
