IPEd National Editors Conference
September 13 - September 15
The Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd) is pleased to announce that registration for its biennial conference being held later this year is now open and the keynote speakers have been announced.
The 8th IPEd National Editors Conference, ‘Advancing our Profession’ will be held in Brisbane from 13 to 15 September.
The keynote speakers are:
- Roly Sussex: Emeritus Professor of Applied Language Studies and Patron of IPEd
- Sophie Cunningham: Writer, editor and literary judge
- Sean Leahy: cartoonist for The Courier-Mail and creator of ‘Beyond the Black Stump’
Other highlights of the program include a number of panels, an emerging leaders forum and a special presentation by Dr Sandra Phillips from Queensland University of Technology, where she will discuss editing literature with Indigenous cultural content and related topics, as well as the black&write! program.
The full program has yet to be announced, but registration is open and available through the dedicated conference website. Registration options include full or day registration with special rates for retirees, students and concession card holders.
Early bird rates are available until 13 July.
